Canadian Education System​

​

Canada does not have a Federal Ministry of Education or similar educational institutions, and each province has a Ministry of Education that is responsible for the province’s education. All children go to the first grade when they are 6 years old. After high school, students can directly enter universities or colleges. In Canada, it takes December 31 as the cut-off point, which means that children born from January 1 to December 31 enter the same grade.

Public School

Nova Scotia's education system is split up into 8 different regions including:

Nova Scotia has more than 450 public schools for children. The public system offers primary to Grade 12. At the age of four, children can enter the pre-primary in elementary school for free, and at the age of six, children can enter the first grade of elementary school.
