Atlantic Immigration Program AIP

 

Program Overview

The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is a federal immigration program that helps employers recruit skilled foreign workers and international graduates to meet labour needs. It is implemented by the Canadian federal government and the four Atlantic provinces, aiming to attract more international students and overseas technical personnel to settle in the eastern Atlantic provinces. The program's predecessor, the Atlantic Immigration Pilot AIPP, closed on December 31, 2021, and was replaced by the permanent Atlantic Immigration Program.

The four Atlantic provinces include:

• Nova Scotia (NS), Nova Scotia

• New Brunswick, New Brunswick (abbreviated as NB)

• Prince Edward Island (PEI)

• Newfoundland and Labrador (NL)
